The first year of the Law Class will be divided into three different programs, or tracks. The first of these is known as the Core Curriculum. Students will go into their third year of study with an Associate’s degree in Law. The curriculum for this degree course includes courses in Introduction to Law, Social Work, Criminal Justice, and Legal Writing.
During their fourth year, students can take either an associates or a bachelor’s degree in Law. The curriculum for these programs will depend on which degree programs the student is interested in. In order to enroll in these programs, students must be at least a sophomore in high school or currently enrolled in college courses that require at least a B average.
After graduating from law school, students may want to work in a legal job that relates to their chosen field of study. Some people choose to become an attorney or a legal assistant. Others seek to practice law in another type of practice such as a paralegal.
