The Certification Test is designed to measure how well candidates understand the concepts, principles and theories of chemical engineering and how well they can apply them to real life situations. The ACEA testing program consists of six parts that include both theoretical and practical examinations.
Students will have two hours to complete each section of the test. They will take a written test and a practical portion of the test. The practical portion is the one that will give them the hardest time and give them an idea of what to expect in an engineering job and what they’ll actually do in an engineering job.
